The modified PAA gel is used in analysis of biological subjects containing amphoteric macromolecules. This method is based on the principle of isoelectric focusing, which is used to perform highly efficient separation of an albumin mixture containing components with similar isoelectric points for qualitative and quantitative analysis. The polyacrylamide gel is obtained by mixing acrylamide, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide, and catalytic quantities of N,N, N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine and ammonium persulphate. The gel is processed with hydrazine until a hydrazine derivative is obtained, after which it is treated with NaN1O2 in a hydrochloric acid environment at temperature 0 degree C while adding polyamine; the reaction runs during 3-5 hours at 0 degree C. The resulting polyamine-modified polyacrylamide gel is stored in 0.1 mole/L NaCl solution in a fridge.
