This trestle is of the formerly known type, comprising a horizontal support bar integral with two vertical rods, mounted so as to slide vertically with respect to the legs of the trestle, and comprising two series of staggered holes which pass right through them. According to the invention the upper end of each leg (5) comprises a tab (10), which is curved with respect to the axis of the leg (5) and shaped so as to bear against the wall of one of the said rods (4), that part of each tab (10) bearing against the rod (4) comprising a hole (11) which can come into alignment with one of the holes (6) of the rod (4) in order to permit the passage of a bolt (12), this bolt (12) permitting the assembly of two tabs (10) opposite each other, on either side of the rod (4). <IMAGE>
