<p>PURPOSE:To improve starting responsiveness of supercharging by decreasing the length and the volume of an intake air system on the downstream side of a supercharger, in an internal combustion chamber provided with a supercharger driven by a crank shaft. CONSTITUTION:A supercharger Sc is arranged below an intake manihold 2 attached to the cylinder head 1 of an engine main body E, and also an intercooler Ic is parallelly arranged close to it, and the lower tank 16 of the intercooler Ic is directly connected to the discharge passage 7 of the supercharger Sc, and the upper tank 15 of the intercooler Ic is connected to branched pipe 21... of the intake manihold 2 via throttle body 23, and the upper tank 15 is also used as the surge chamber of the intake manihold 2.</p> |
