A rotary printing machine has an inking roller which is supplied with ink from a bar (27) with shallow longitudinal grooves (10) forming the reservoir. These grooves are on the side of the bar which faces the roller (1) and the gaps between the surface of the roller and the upper and lower edges of the bar are sealed by wiper blades (16,17). The bar is fitted with connectors (21) for the attachment of the ink supply pipe and the ink return flow pipe. USE/ADVANTAGE - Inking system for rotary printing machine. The risk of printing ghost images is eliminated.
