PURPOSE:To prevent the quantization noise for reduction of the sound volume level of a musical sound signal from being conspicuous and to prevent the quick change of the timbre with respect to a muting device of an electronic musical instrument which generates plural musical sounds in accordance with the instruction of sound emission based on the same event, for example, depression of the same key. CONSTITUTION:A level detecting means 1 which detects shift of the envelope level of the musical sound signal to a prescribed level or lower and a muting means 2 are provided, and this means 2 erases all musical sound signals, which are generated in accordance with the instruction of sound emission based on the same event including the musical sound, based on detection of shift of the envelope level to the prescribed level or lower in the level detecting means 1. |
