DEVICES FOR TENSIONING AND BLOCKING RACKET STRINGS

A device for tensioning and blocking racket strings comprises a hollow body (8) forming a chamber having a tapered cylindrical shape (9) in which slides a piston (13) fitted in front with a clamp (12) for elastically blocking a string (5) which penetrates into the chamber through a bore (12) with a tapered end (9a). The piston (13) is forced to the front by means of a spring (14). It is integral with a pin (18) which slides in slots (17) provided in the hollow body and is fixed to a sleeve (16) surrounding the hollow body. The rear hollow body end is sealed by a seal (10) to which is attached a film or a traction cable (11). One application is in tensioning and blocking tennis racket strings.
