<p>PURPOSE: To increase heat radiation rate of a cathode sleeve and remarkably shorten image display starting time. CONSTITUTION: In an electron tube cathode structure and its manufacturing press, a nickel plating layer for preventing chromium oxidation is formed on the outer circumferential surface of a cathode sleeve coming in contact with a cathode supporting body, and oxidation of a chromium component in the contact part of the cathode sleeve is prevented even in the blackening treatment of the cathode sleeve, and the cathode supporting body and the cathode sleeve are bonded and fixed by electric resistance welding.</p> |
