The vibration treatment equipment, for therapeutic or toning-up handling of muscles and joints, is pref. used in conjunction with a radiographic couch pivotable about at least a single axis. Retaining pieces are provided to keep the patient in position. At least one, elastically-mounted diaphragm (2) is installed in the receiving surface. The diaphragm (2) is coupled to a vibration drive (15,16) to produce oscillations with components in various directions. Frequency and/or stroke regulatable drive elements are provided. They are selectively adjustable for producing a first main component of the oscillation vertically to the receiving surface and/or a second main component in the plane of the receiving surface. The drive can be provided by motors (15,16) and drive belts (19,20).
