1,089,026. Arrangement of switches. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. Oct. 12, 1965 [Oct. 27, 1964], No. 43218/65. Heading B7H. [Also in Division E2] In motor vehicles having windows, seats, sliding roofs, and ventilating flaps adjustable by servomotors powered by the vehicle battery provision is made to enable the servomotors to operate when the ignition circuit has been switched off. The servomotors may be electric and act directly on the windows &c. or may drive a pump so that the windows &c. are operated hydraulically. In one form a thermoswitch is provided in parallel with the ignition switch enabling the servomotor to be operated for some time after switching off the ignition and until the engine temperature drops to a predetermined value. In another form, one of the door locks is wired into the circuit of a relay controlling the servomotor so that the servomotor can be operated after switching off the ignition until the door is finally locked. In other forms holding contacts are provided and separate coils may be provided to effect opening and closing, the switches can be associated with two of the door locks. These safeguards prevent the supply of current to the servomotor over long periods when the car is parked. |
