PURPOSE:To shorten the retrieving time of the catalog data and to retrieve this data in a fixed time regardless of the number of catalogs by defining the catalog data having a high using frequency as a resident catalog. CONSTITUTION:A catalog evolving means 10 reads a catalog file 6 started by a system starting means and evolves the file 6 into a memory. A resident catalog reading means 8 retrieves a resident catalog table 11 storing the catalog data evolved by the means 10 based on a catalog number. Then the selection of processing is decided by the catalog number between the means 8 and a catalog file reading means 5. Thus the catalog data having a high using frequency can be processed in a fixed catalog data retrieving time regardless of the number of catalogs. |
