Unit has a frame supporting a prefilter chamber, which receives air via connecting stubs, and a hollow shaft passing through a filter disc enclosing the chamber. A radial nozzle is attached to the shaft within the chamber to exhaust coarse particles adhering to the filter. Concentric with the shaft is a filter, from which particles are removed by a suction nozzle which is moved by a carriage on a shaft attached to the hollow shaft. The shaft is moved intermittently by a piston-cylinder unit. ADVANTAGE - Filter cleaning is ensured.
