PURPOSE:To reduce the number of forming pass and the draft of forming by providing the elevating type caliber horizontal roll which executes the preforming for positioning the rolled stock and the opening and closing type vertical roll which executes the positioning for the lateral direction of the rolled stock. CONSTITUTION:The setting width of the side roller of the entry guide is set as the width B1 of the intermediate part of the rolled stock 4, and it waits for transferring the rolled stock. When the rolled stock is transferred, the photoelectric tube is light shielded, the width B of the top end part of the rolled stock and the width B1 of the rear end part (B>B1) is detected. After passing the photoelectric tube, the roller set width is reduced until B1, guides the width of both end parts of the rolled stock. The width of rolled stock is guided, also the preforming of the recessed shape like is executed on the rolled stock by lowering the caliber forming upper roll 1 and forming it together with the forming lower roll 1. Then, the preformed rolled steel stock is formed with the caliber roll. Therefore, by preforming the rolled stock for positioning, the number of forming pass and the draft of forming can be largely reduced, and the dimension error of lateral direction can be controlled. |
