<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the omission of an information input to an electronic device when the device is in a standby state and to reduce the power consumption of the device by maintaining the information acquiring intervals constant and, at the same time, changing the operating frequency of a CPU in accordance with the operation mode of the electronic device. CONSTITUTION:In a hand-written information input device, a CPU 9 executes an arithmetic operation controlling process and a clock timer control section 10 sets the operating clock frequency of the CPU 9 at a low level by maintaining prescribed time intervals for acquiring information in a standby mode. The section 10 sets the operating clock frequency at a high level by maintaining the prescribed time intervals for acquiring information when hand- writing input operations are made in the standby mode. Therefore, an electronic device capable of savoring power consumption and, at the same time, can acquire hand-written information with high accuracy can be obtained.</p> |
