PURPOSE:To obtain an electric brake device providing a satisfactory operating feeling by detecting the displacement amount of an operating beam and the operating force of the operating beam by an operation detector, and controlling an operating equipment on the basis of the displacement amount and the operating force by a controller. CONSTITUTION:The operation of a brake pedal 11 by a driver is detected by a stroke sensor 27 and an operating force sensor 39, and these sensors 37, 39 output detection signals showing the stroke and operating force of the brake pedal 11 to a controller 13. The controller 13 controls the braking force generated by each wheel brake 14 on the basis of the output signals of the stroke sensor 37 and the operating force sensor 39. When a deceleration G is small, the braking force according to the operating stroke 9 of the brake pedal 11 is generated, and when the deceleration is large, the braking force according to the operating force T is generated. |
