<p>PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a tape by providing a fan, and forcibly discharging the air from a head window by the rotation. CONSTITUTION:An air hole 38 passing form a surface 37 lowered by one step from an upper end face 36 into a groove 34 is formed at an upper drum 16, and a fan 60 is fixed to a position covering an opening of the hole 38 of the surface 37 at the end 36. That is, a tunnel-like air flowing passage is formed from the hole 38 of the surface 37 through the groove 34 to a head window 18. The drum 16 is rotatably driven at a high speed in a direction of an arrow A, and a signal is recorded on and reproduced from a magnetic tape 10 by a magnetic head 20. In this case, the air is forcibly fed to the hole 38 by the rotation of the fan 60, discharged from the window 18, and extreme suction deformation of the tape 10 is eliminated. Thus, the tape can be stably fed without damaging the tape 10.</p> |
