PURPOSE:To achieve quick production of aspherical lenses with good yield by dividing the lenses into thin single-side aspherical parts and the other parts which are spherical, fabricating them separately, and affixing them together. CONSTITUTION:An aspherical optical lens is divided into a spherical part and an aspherical part 2 which is given a small uniform thickness in the central part so as to improve the easiness in shaping process. The part 1 is made through a known polishing process, while the part 2 is fabricated through a shaping process. These two parts 2, 1 are joined together provisionally while their optical axes are aligned using a two-liquid type epoxy adhesive, followed by hardening as regular process, and a joined type aspherical lens is completed. As the shape accuracy worsens steeply if the thickness ratio of the central part of part 2 to its peripheral part exceeds 3, a preferable thickness ratio is below 2. |
