<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of ink drops by a method wherein, at the time of printing, an electric current is allowed to flow among electrodes so as to discharge electric conductive ink from nozzles 5a and, immediately thereafter, an electric current controlling means is so operated that the current flows among the electrodes in a direction counter to the flowing direction at the time of the ink discharge. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnets 10, 11 are mounted at the uppermost part and the lowermost part of electrodes 3, 4 (i.e., ink flow passages 5) in such a way that the magnetic poles of the permanent magnets are arranged in the same direction. In a steady state, an electric current value is zero and, according to a printing signal, a current flows in the ordinary direction from the first electrodes 3 to the second electrodes 4. A force of discharging ink from nozzles 5a is given to electric conductive ink. When ink droplets, are formed, a power supply condition is changed, and the current flows from the second electrodes 4 to the first electrodes 3 in the direction counter to the flowing direction at the time of the ink discharge. Contrary to the discharge of ink droplets 100a from the nozzles 5a toward a printing part, a force by which the electric conductive ink is sucked into the nozzles 5a acts on the electric conductive ink remaining in the nozzles 5a.</p> |
