The utensil comprises a missile and multi-layered mitt both having a multitude of irregular fibrous formations, for example, hook and loop material. The mitt consists of a rigid concave layer and a covering of filaments and two intermediate flexible layers held by a retaining ring. The intermediate layers can be of polyurethane. The utensil allows young children to play the game of catch without ball bouncing problems and the mitt absorbs a lot of the energy of the thrown ball. |
