<p>In a method of automatically milking animals, e.g. cows, in a milking parlour, teat cups (80) carried by a robot arm (7) of a milking robot can be moved individually upwardly relative to the robot arm (7), whereby a vacuum is produced in the teat cup (80) moved upwardly, so that the teat cup (80) can suck to a relevant teat. Thereafter the teat cup (80) is released from the robot arm (7) but remains connected therewith via a flexible connecting member (81), by means of which the teat cup (80) is pulled towards and against the robot arm (7) when the milking flow through the teat cup (80) has ended. The specification further describes an implement for performing this method.</p> |
