PURPOSE:To prevent the mutual interference of front and rear bits and to perform high density recording by changing azimuths in the prescribed places in the recording track direction during scanning of a recording medium with magnetic heads so that the recording tracks consist of the systems whee azimuths change alternately in the direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:This relates to a system of performing recording on a magnetic tape 1 which is running in an arrow direction by changing over two magnetic heads 2 and 3 having mutually unparallel gaps, wherein a delay circuit 4 determined by the distance between the heads 2 and 3 and tape speeds is provided to allow either the head 2 or 3 to act in the substantially the same place of the tape 1, and when, for example, a digital bit 0 changes to a 1 or 0, the azimuths of the recording heads are changed simultaneously so that the recording tracks where the azimuths incline alternately by angle psi are produced in the magnetization direction of the tape 1, whereby the mutual interference of the front and rear bits is prevented. |
