The connection between two shaft ends (12,18) consists of hose (24) fitting tightly round the periphery of both shafts (12,18) and covering a gap (22) on the outside. In an axial direction, the hose (24) has parts of different dia. At least one clamp (32) presses the hose (24) tightly onto the surface of one shaft end (12). The hose (24) has at least one inward-pointing protuberance (28) fitting into a cavity in the outer surface of a shaft end. A protective casing (34) is fixed to one shaft end (18). USE/ADVANTAGE - The shaft connection is compact, economically produced and covers the gap between the shaft ends.
