PURPOSE:To improve the handling, reliability, and size reduction of the system unit by arranging an Er-doped fiber and other relative optical components with a minimum scale so that the optical fiber can be led around without any decrease in specific radius of curvature. CONSTITUTION:The Er-doped fiber 5 which is wound cylindrically by the majority of its length is arranged below the center of a substrate 3 and the optical components such as an optical demultiplexer 6, a shutter 7, a coupler 8, and two isolators 9 are arrayed vertically in this order on the right side. Further, five splice parts 11 are arranged above the Er-doped fiber 5 and two splice parts 12 are arranged on the left side. A necessary part on the left side of both the splice parts 11 and 12 is locked (restrained) by a wire saddle 14 and then a coiled excessive-length optical fiber 15 and an optical connector connection part 17 are arranged orderly. |
