An arrangement for measuring the fill level of a gasometer contains a part of a height measurement arrangement permanently associated with the movable gasometer dome whose position is used to determine the contents. The part of a height measurement arrangement is a liquid-filled container (5) connected via an elastic line (5) with a fixed position pressure measurement device (7). The latter is a conventional pressure transmitter which generates an electrical or pneumatic signal (8) depending on the pressure. ADVANTAGE - Requires no mechanically moving parts.
