Due to their sound radiation, operating units generate interference signals in output signals of an underwater sound receiving system located on board. Filtering with respect to frequency also leads to a suppression of useful signals at the blocked frequencies in the output signals. This problem is prevented in the solution according to the invention in that one or a number of pick-ups for structure-borne sound are arranged at the operating units and spectra of the structure-borne sound are derived from their signals. The spectra of the structure-borne sound are used for notching out the lines of the structure-borne sound in the received spectrum of the output signals. This elimination of interference can be particularly advantageously used in passive sonar systems for direction-finding and/or locating water craft. |
