A gel-type cosmetic contains 0.5-30 % of oily particles which made by heating and stirring the mixt. of liquid and solid phase oily material (m.p. 30-60 deg.C) or pigment-containing oily material to 45-85 deg.C in an aq. soln. (which containing 0.01-2.0 % of a water soluble viscosity increasing agent) to obtain 0.1-5 mm of spherical particles. Pref. the liquid-phase oily material is animal oil, vegetable oil, mineral oil, synthetic oil, oil soluble vitamins, oily vegetable extracts or liphophilic surfactant; the solid-phase oily material is higher fatty acid, paraffin, wax, glycerin, etc.
