PURPOSE:To prevent dew condensation from occurring on the surface of a mirror by a method wherein heat-accumulating material is enclosed in an elastic container that is capable of making contact with the whole area of the reverse side of a mirror face part, a back plate is provided, and a void space is formed between the back plate and the reverse side of the mirror face part. CONSTITUTION:A void space 21 is formed between a mirror body 18 and a back plate 21, and an elastic container 22 with heat-accumulating material 17 made of polyethylene glycol or the like enclosed therein is arranged in the void space 21. When the outside temperature is lower than the melting point of the heat-accumulating material 17, the phase of the heat-accumulating material 17 converts from liquid to solid, and the converted material sticks to the reverse side of a mirror face part 19. Because of latent heat emitted from the converted material, moisturization over the surface of the mirror body 18 can be prevented. When the outside temperature becomes higher, the phase of the heat-accumulating material 17 converts from soild to liquid, and the heat is absorbed as latent heat. At this time, a gap is formed between the container 22 and the reverse side of the mirror face part 19, preventing the temperature over the surface of the mirror body 18 from becoming lower than the outside temperature, and thereby dew condensation on the mirror surface can be prevented. |
