<p>PURPOSE:To record a compression signal in a form of a digital signal by fractionalizing a luminance and a color data into a block structure with an encoder, and quantizing the data of a difference between the data of the block and either a minimum value or a maximum value with the number of bits less than the original one. CONSTITUTION:Digital data (the luminance and the color data) converted into the block structure are supplied from a multiplexer 13 to the input terminal 21 of an ADRC encoder 14. A detecting circuit 22 detects a maximum value MAX and a minimum value MIN of the block. (MAX - MIN) is calculated by a subtracting circuit 24 so that a dynamic range DR can be obtained. The output data of a subtracting circuit 25 and the DR are supplied to a quantizing circuit 26. The number of bits less than the original one is obtained by the quantizing circuit 26 so that the quantization adapted to the DR can be operated. Therefore, the compression signal can be recorded in the form of the digital signal, and the deterioration of the signal can be reduced.</p> |
