<p>PURPOSE:To wind a metal strip under tension by separating many slit metal strips right and left alternately, and winding each strip with a separate spool so fitted to each winding shaft right and left as to slip in the reverse direction of winding, upon exposure to winding tension. CONSTITUTION:A delivered metal strip (a) is slit into many metal strips (b) of small width with a slitter 31, while being caused to travel downward. Many metal strips (b) so slit are made to travel, while being alternately assigned right ad left. Then, the strips (b) are wound about a separate spool 73 so fitted to each one of winding shafts 72 right and left as to slip in the reverse direction of winding, upon exposure to winding tension exceeding the predetermined level.</p> |
