FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: billet is assembled directly on expander, fixed on it, and both of them are drawn through drawing die. As a result, compactification under isothermal conditions of deformation is provided. Length of drawing die operating surface is selected from given interval. Prior to drawing, auxiliary casing is set on billet. Longitudinal grooves re specified on internal surface of drawing die. Width of grooves is calculated by given formula.
