PURPOSE:To prevent curling of a board and fracture of a side end by moving a left and right width restriction member by board width restriction member moving means at a predetermined speed up to a position where an interval between both members is slightly wider than the width of the board, and thereafter moving the same at a lower speed than said speed. CONSTITUTION:A board is conveyed on a conveyance roller 83, and the tip end of the board is detected by width restriction starting sensors 130L, 130R, whereby width restriction operation movements of balls 91L, 91R locate on opposite sides of the board is started for first step (higher speed) width restriction operation. With this operation, the width restriction balls 91L, 91R are moved, and width restriction inside sensors 9 98L, 98R are stopped as a position of detecting left and right edges of the board. In succession, the width restriction balls 91L, 91R on the opposite sides of the board are moved in the direction of the center of a conveyance passage at a slower speed than the first step for width restriction operation (second operation). Further, a guide plate 133 for controlling the deflection of the board is fixed vertically and horizontally to a board conveyance apparatus body with screws. |
