HYBRID HARD DISK DRIVE AND DATA STORING METHOD

A hybrid HDD(Hard Disk Drive) and a data storing method thereof are provided to determine to store write data received from a host to a disk or a flash memory without support from an OS(Operating System). An HDD controller(113) receives a plurality of write commands from a host(101). A buffer(130) receives/stores write data corresponding to the write command received through the HDD controller. A command history tracer(150) analyzes a pattern of the write commands by receiving the write commands. A CPU(116) determines to store the write data corresponding to each write command to the disk(111) or the flash memory(140) based on an analysis result of the command history tracer. The command history tracer analyzes the pattern based on each logical block address of the received write command.
