<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the time up to the start of operation by conveying transfer paper from a 2nd large-capacity transfer paper mounting means to register rollers through a conveying-direction changing means and holding it there before a start signal is inputted. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is equipped with the conveying- direction changing means 31 which supplies transfer paper, fed in a 1st conveying direction from transfer paper feeding means 12A - 12B, and 13A - 13B, in a 2nd conveying direction where the transfer paper is moved back while the direction of the paper surface is held in the 1st conveying direction. Before the start signal is inputted, 2nd paper feeding means 12B and 13B corresponding to the 2nd transfer paper mounting means 11B capable of mounting much transfer paper than a 1st transfer paper mounting means 11A are selected and operated and the conveying direction changing means 31 is operated to convey the transfer paper to the register rollers 21 through the conveying direction changing means 31. Consequently, the time from the commanding of the start of next image forming operation to the start of operation can be shortened.</p> |
