In the case of a heat storage means, comprising a housing, which is made up of an outer container and an inner container arranged therein, more particularly in the form of a latent heat storage means, which in the inner container comprises a storage zone which includes at least one chamber and is pervaded by a flow zone for a heat transfer medium in order to accept the heat storage medium, and the outer and the inner containers include an insulating zone prepared by evacuation and bake out between them, through which the support means for the inner container on the outer container extends, the flow zone being provided with connections extending through the insulating zone and leading to the outside, the insulating zone: is firstly baked out whereafter the heat storage medium is introduced into the heat storage zone.
