PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst for decomposition of ozone having superior ozone removing ability by using boric acid as a first component and the oxide of a metal such as Mn or Cu as a second component. CONSTITUTION:Boric acid such as orthoboric acid as a first component and one or more kinds of oxides of metals such as Mn, Cu and Co as a second component are used as principal components to obtain a catalyst for decomposition and removal of ozone contained in gas. This catalyst may be a binary catalyst such as MnO2-boric acid or CuO-boric acid, a ternary catalyst such as MnO2-Co3O4-boric acid or MnO2-V2O5-boric acid or a quaternary catalyst such as MnO2-Co3O4-Ag2O-boric acid, contains about 50-99wt.% one or more kinds of metal oxides and about 1-50wt.% boric acid and has high ozone decomposing performance. |
