PURPOSE:To easily execute a correcting operation of an input data, and also to set the number of correcting operation keys to only one, by automatically selecting a data correction mode in accordance with whether data exists in a buffer memory or not. CONSTITUTION:When a correction key of a keyboard 14 is operated, whether data exists in a data buffer memory 16 or not is detected, and in case when a data exists, a character of its line being displayed on a display device 20 turns on and off, therefore, correction of said character is executed by operating a shift key. In case when no data exists in the buffer memory 16, the system becomes a mode for correcting a data in a data memory 10. When a line number, etc. to be corrected are inputted by the key in accordance with said mode, its correcting instruction and the correction line number are outputted to a correction controlling circuit 38, a data to be corrected is read out to the buffer memory 16 from the data memory 10, and the data to be corrected is displayed on the display device 20. After that, the same correction processing is executed. |
