PURPOSE:To surely set timing for controlling the separation of mixed color, to perform the separation of the mixed color almost all over the area of an interimage part and to improve mixed color separation performance by starting the control of the separation of the mixed color in the timing of finishing the output of image data and finishing the control in the timing of starting next transfer. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a 1st detection means for detecting 1st timing related to the timing of finishing the output of the image data which is outputted so as to form a latent image and a 2nd detection means for detecting 2nd timing related to the timing of feeding a transfer body which is continuously fed. Furthermore, a mixed color separation control means for starting the action of a mixed color separation means in the 1st timing detected by the 1st detection means and finishing the action in the 2nd timing detected by the 2nd detection means is provided. Thus, the timing for controlling the separation of the mixed color is surely set, the separation of the mixed color is performed almost all over the area of the interimage part and the mixed color separation performance is improved. |
