Printed circuit boards (LP1, LPN) are raised vertically by a pair of toothed conveyor belts (ZR) that support the boards at both end. At a specific vertical position the boards are to be moved horizontally into a magazine. The transfer unit has a belt driven (SA) roller (RA) that has a projecting spindle (FZ). The unit is pivot-mounted about a centre (D) when the unit is moved about the axis the spindle contact the board and the rotation of the spindle causes the board to be moved off the support.
