<p>PURPOSE:To measure the position of a slang level accurately and continuously by a construction wherein an antenna elevating device makes an antenna elevated by an antenna elevation control signal and thereby a distance between the antenna and a slang surface is always maintained to be prescribed distance or within a prescribed distance range even when the slang surface in a furnace fluctuates. CONSTITUTION:A radar-measured value signal of a distance between the slang surface of a slang 6 in a furnace and a transmission antenna 13 and a reception antenna 14, which is measured by a microwave radar 12, and an antenna position signal of an antenna position measured by an antenna position measuring device 21 are inputted to a signal processing circuit 24. The signal processing circuit 24 calculates the position of a slang level in the furnace from these two signals, calculates the amount of elevation of the antenna by comparing the slang level position with a prescribed set value, and inputs an antenna elevation control signal of the amount of elevation of the antenna to an antenna elevating device 16. The device 16 makes the antennas elevated by the antenna elevation control signal and thereby the control of elevation of the antennas is executed so that the distance between the antennas and the slang surface be always maintained to be a prescribed distance.</p> |
