The invention refers to a compensating device for chain stretch at scraper flight conveyer of wide length intended for use, especially in animal farms. The technical solution includes near the driving mechanism a concrete channel comprising a guiding trough with the length and depth established according to the length of the conveyor. The channel is penetrated by the non-stressed branch of the conveyer and descends under its own weight and takes over the entire extension from the stressed branch. The device, according to this invention, may be used in conveyors of over 200 m length.
