摘要

PURPOSE:To eliminate the deterioration in quality by the jaggy generated in the edge parts of rebinarized images by setting the density value of the locus where an ideal edge line and the locus of the density value by an interpolation method are most proximate as the value of threshold. CONSTITUTION:A color photographic image is inputted to a color scanner 1. Image data and the cut out mask data thereof are registered on an optical disk 3 via a magnetic disk 2. A computer 4 subjects the data to geometric conversion processing and subjects the respective picture elements of the cut out mask data after processing to rebinarization processing by the prescribed threshold. The ideal edge line and the locus of the respective density values by the interpolation method are defined with respective to the edge part in the interpolation method of this time and the density value of the locus where the defined ideal line and the locus are most proximate is calculated. This value is determined as the adequate threshold.
