A rechargeable organic electrolyte cell is disclosed which is superior in charge-discharge cycle characteristics. The cell comprises an anode containing lithium, a cathode formed of LiMn2O4 and organic electrolyte. The LiMn2O4 is preferably such material that has a full width at half maximum between 1.1 and 2.1.degree. of a peak at 2.THETA. equals to 46.1.degree. by X ray diffraction analysis using FeK.alpha. ray. |
