The microwave circuit has a printed circuit board with a conductive track pattern, discrete components and a cut out section. The esection is sized to receive a softboard microwave circuit element that has components bonded to the surface and in connection with the conductive track. The mcirowave circuit has a thick metal plate of copper or aluminium onto which is formed a dielectric layer of Teflon (TM). This supports the copper layer which is etched. The assembly is fixed together by screws. ADVANTAGE - Avoids need for separate metal housing for microwave circuit element.
