PURPOSE:To reduce a user's burden for a circular graph editing work by decid ing whether a character-string can be displayed in the inside of a sector or not, and calculating the nearest character-string display area to the center of the sector in the case it can be displayed. CONSTITUTION:Length R of a radius of a sector, a deflection angle theta of a first radius measured from the (x) axis and a deflection angle phi of a second radius measured from a first radius, and vertical length (h) and horizontal length (w) of a rectangular area occupied by an item name character-string corresponding to the sector are inputted, a displayable range in the inside of the sector of a character-string area is derived, and the (x) coordinate and the (y) coordinate of the center of the nearest character-string display area to the center of the sector are calculated. Accordingly, at the time of generating a circular graph, whether the item name character-string can be displayed in the inside of the sector 1 or not is decided, and also, in the case it can be displayed, the item name character-string can be displayed automatically in the nearest position to the center of the sector 1. In such a way, a user's burden for a circular graph editing work is reduced. |
