A bush assembly (10) for preventing crushing of a hollow or sandwich panel (2, 3, 7) by a screw (5), comprises two bushes (11, 12) each having fingers (15) engaging in the slots (18) between the fingers (15) of the other bush. The free ends (17) of the fingers (15) of each bush 11, 12 spread outwards and act upon the inner face (2b, 3b) of the opposite skin (2, 3), the tubular part (13) of the bush being located in a hole (9, 8) of the respective skin (3, 2).
