The invention is a furnace which separates metals from their ores in a one-step process involving a rare carbon plasma reducing atmosphere. A secondary use is the injection of water into this atmosphere which causes an explosive flame, suitable to use as an energy source. Whilst stainless steel helical pipe in the inside of the refractories cools the device down, it also can act as pressure driven steam generator which can lead on to steam driven turbines. A tertiary use is the atomisation of waste turned into liquid and injected into the superheated chamber which in turn breaks the waste down into its component elements. |
