A golf club head has a filling orifice (6) for filling an internal cavity (4) with a filling material (5), and a member (7) with selective permeability is provided for closing the orifice, the member permitting gas molecules to escape from the internal cavity but not the filling material during the expansion of filling material in the cavity.
