PURPOSE:To prevent loss of a lubricating oil and to extend the lubricating life of a shaft remarkably by guiding the lubricating oil overflowing from an end of a bearing to the opposite side along a path of the lubricating oil formed in a bearing member of a carriage and collecting the oil by a collecting member. CONSTITUTION:An excess of a lubricating oil supplied from an oil pad 9 overflows from an end face of a bearing 3 as a carriage reciprocates. However, the lubricating oil coming to the side of the coil pad 9 is brought into direct touch with the oil pad thereby to be absorbed, or, collected by the oil pad 9 after it falls in a bearing holding part 4. A lubricating oil 10 overflowing from the side opposite to the oil pad 9 is moved along a groove 5 formed at the surface of the bearing holding part 4 in a direction of an arrow D by the capillary phenomenon to an end face of the groove 5 until it is in touch with the oil pad 9. When the lubricating oil is brought in touch with the surface of the oil pad 9, it is absorbed and collected by the oil pad 9. Accordingly, the excessive lubricating oil which as been wasted is collected and reused, thereby elongating the life of the lubricating oil remarkably. |
