The plate implant comprises two parts fixed to the bones either side of the separation point. This can move lengthways relative one another through a dovetail guide and be fixed at the required positions. The plates (1,2) should have at the dovetail guide (3,4) a gear mechanism (11) which can be operated from outside. This enables the plate parts to be moved relative one another infinitely after the operation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Surgery, fractures,bone operations. The gearing operated from outside adjusts the plate parts as required to prevent post-operative infection or complications.
