PURPOSE:To obtain a flushing liquid which can quickly dissolve and remove a deteriorated lubricating oil formed in a system of equipment using a lubricating oil and can prevent the occurrence of problems even when it remains in the system by using either an alkylbenzene having an alkyl group of a specified number of carbon atoms, or a composition mainly comprising it. CONSTITUTION:A flushing liquid which either comprises an alkylbenzene having a 9-33C alkyl group, or is composed mainly of the alkylbenzene. To further improve the capability of removing a deteriorated lubricating oil, at most 100 pts.wt. aromatic carboxylic acid ester may be incorporated into 100 pts.wt. alkylbenzene mentioned above. For the purpose of enhancing the antioxidant properties of the flushing liquid, at least one compound selected from diphenylamine, phenyl-alpha-naphthylamine, phenol, thiobisphenol, phenothiazine, and alkylated derivatives of these compounds may be incorporated in an amount of about 0.001-5.0wt.% based on total flushing liquid. |
