1,163,771. Track signalling system. ETABS. L. FAIVELEY and R. LALLEMENT. 4 Oct., 1966 [5 Oct., 1965], No. 44286/66. Heading B7N. A signalling arrangement for transmitting signals to or receiving signals from a train comprises a length of rail 4 insulated at its ends which with conductor 3 forms a loop connected to the trackside transmitter or receiver 2 and a train carried transmitter or receiver 19 coupled to the rail by pick up coils 18 which may be positioned anywhere along the length of the train. The conductor is magnetically screened where it runs adjacent the track. The arrangement may be combined with a track circuit comprising transmitter 12 and receiver relay 13 in which case the signalling circuit operates at frequency F and the track circuit at frequency f and filters 12, 14, 15 are provided to separate the different currents. |
